Your marketing needs a leader.

But, maybe not a full-time one.

You're running a B2B tech company. Marketing feels like it should be doing more: more pipeline, more clarity, more commercial impact. But you're not sure if the problem is strategy, execution, or the direction you can give them.

Hiring a full-time CMO is expensive, slow, and a significant commitment when you're still figuring out what good looks like.

That's where I come in.

What a fractional CMO actually does (or at least, this one!)

Not strategy decks that gather dust.

Not workshops that produce frameworks nobody uses.

I embed with your team, working alongside your founders, sales leaders, and marketers, to make marketing work as a practical growth engine. That means getting into the detail: sharpening your positioning, aligning marketing and sales, fixing the CRM, building the pipeline, and making sure what you're spending actually connects to revenue.

I call it building ART: Awareness, Revenue, and Trust. The three things B2B marketing should actually be accountable for.

Why this works

Most CMOs come from marketing. I came up through technology as a CTO, product manager, and sales engineer before crossing into marketing leadership.

That means I understand tech businesses and I'm as comfortable configuring your CRM as I am in your board meeting.

In a mid-size B2B business, poorly implemented marketing technology isn't a rounding error. It's a business risk. I make sure the plumbing supports the promise.

I've done this across startups, scale-ups, and established software vendors: bootstrapping marketing functions from scratch, fixing what's broken, supporting companies through investment rounds. Clients have included Storyblok (where I advised the CMO as ARR grew from ~$3m to over $80m), Spotler, censhare, Sitecore, and Dodona.

Who this is for

  • Founders and CEOs who know marketing needs to do more but aren't ready to hire a full-time CMO
  • Companies entering the UK market who need experienced, on-the-ground GTM leadership
  • Businesses preparing for investment who need marketing to tell a credible, commercial story

Let’s start with a chat.

If your marketing needs a steady hand and some hard-won experience, I'd love to hear what you're working on.
